I am a Prince,

I walk, they walk

I am in front

They are in back

I lead

They follow me

Why?

Because I am a prince of course!

I gladly lift my legs and arms, marching

My army and servants gladly follow as well

One two

One two

Left right

Left right

I look behind to see if they follow me in a perfect line

And

synchro-, simco-

Whatever that word is

I am twelve

And a prince

What use was schooling?

I am now the richest kid!

I am a prince

A prince

I repeat to myself

Hah!

Look at me now~!

I am the only human

On this floating piece of dirt

Trees

Grass

And other stuff

BUT

I am the leader of it!

I can command any animal to do my bidding

Like these ants that follow me

The birds rest on my shoulders and arm

Just by whistling!!

Everyone is kind to me

And I am kind to them

Just like mama and papa told me

Being nice to others

Makes them nice to you

Isn’t that the main rule of being a prince?

I gladly lead my people

And whistle a tune

Left right left right

One two

One two

~*~

I am 17,

And a king now

I am a King

I am proud and honorable

I am known as the greatest king!

My kingdom has been strong

King!

The people go wild

Haaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!

I stand tall and proud

And all of a sudden

Crash

Everyone scatters

‘Wait!!’

I yell

‘Do not fret!!’

‘This is of no one to be concerned of!!’

My people have left me

I stand there

Bewildered

Sad

I fall

And hide my face

But all of a sudden

I feel the presence of others

I look up

And jerk back

As did the others

‘Oh my!’

And old wrinkled prune says

A younger looking one

Hides behind him

I stare

A fierce stare

And ask

‘Who are you!?’

‘Intruders??’

‘Enemies??’

I stand tall when I ask this

Because

I am of course

A King

I puff my chest

The younger one giggles

I blush

Feeling embarrassed

Dumb,

And little

The old one says

To not fret

‘We are here to understand the animals that live on this island’

‘I am a professor’

And this here

Is my daughter

The young one smiles

I blush

‘I understand’

I say

I show them around

And tell them my story

The girl cries

I fret

The old one reassures

And we live together for several months

To me it seemed like hours

For it was too fun

Knowledgeable

Exciting

Heart beating

Then one day

The Professor

Tells me to come with them

Back home

He says I can marry his daughter

But I say to him back

But I am the king of this place!

He looks at me

Sad

And a bit frustrated

I see Her peak in

Sad

And looks as though she was about to cry

I tell them

Give me a day

Professor nods

And I leave

I stare into her eyes

And place my hand on her shoulder

I smile

A weak smile

But it was reassurance enough to her

For she smiles a weak one back too

I wander off into the woods

Leaving them behind

I talk to my people

My friends

My family

I reminisce

And think

Real hard

On whether to go

Or not to

It is morning

And I hear the packing of supplies

Voices

Yelling

And chatting

I stand up

Decided

And head towards the beach

I look back once more

And say fare well to my kingdom

Where I was a prince.

THE END
